Information Collection and Use

Voices is the sole owner of the information collected on this site. We reserve the right to share information with trusted third-party vendors that provide contracted services for Voices and its membership.

Information collected on the Voices Web site from Voices members is done to fulfill requests inclusive of, but not limited to, ordering Voices materials, and asking for Voices assistance.

Voices will not sell, share, or rent this information to others in ways different from what is disclosed in this statement.

Email

The email addresses of Voices members and others who subscribe to our email newsletter cannot be sold or rented to anyone, including business partners, advertisers, and providers of insurance or other member benefits. We do provide members' email addresses to the company that distributes our email newsletters, and that company is contractually bound not to use those addresses for any other purpose or to make them available to anyone else.

Voices members who change or provide their email address via Voices' "Your Membership Info" will automatically be subscribed to Voices' email newsletter.  Upon receipt of the email newsletter, the user may decide to opt-out of the email distribution list by following the instructions at the bottom of the email message.

Members may call the Member Service Center to have their names removed from the Voices email address list, and thereafter will receive no email communications from Voices.

Contests, Give-A-Ways, & Surveys

Occasionally, Voices may offer contests, promotional give-a-ways, or surveys. Participation is completely voluntary and the user therefore has a choice whether or not to disclose such information as user contact and demographic information. Information collected may be used to contact participants of prize notification or for solicitation purposes such as sending a request to join Voices.

Use of Cookies

Cookies are pieces of information that a Web site transfers to an individual's hard drive for record-keeping purposes. The use of cookies is an industry standard -- you'll find them at most major Web sites.

At the time of signing in as a member or a guest, Voices sets a cookie on your machine. This information simply identifies you as a member or guest. The cookie facilitates you gaining access to protected areas of the site, pre-populates information on certain forms to save you from re-keying your information, and delivers custom content and images. The cookie is set for a 6-month period after which the cookie expires and you must identify yourself as a member or a guest through our sign-in forms.

Most browsers are initially set up to accept cookies. You can reset your browser to refuse all cookies or indicate when a cookie is being sent. However, note that some parts of the Voices Web site will not function properly without the use of cookies.
